Donate as less as 2 dollars for flood victims of Tamil Nadu, India

I come from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  A place that's been brought to its knees by historically unprecedented rains, is now mostly under water. With many losing their homes and livelihoods this is not exclusive to my hometown. Many coastal towns and cities including Cuddalore, Kanchipuram have been battered. On December 1st alone, Chennai received 35cms of rainfall, almost twice the average rainfall for the whole of December. This comes on top of heavy downpours that crippled the state of Tamil Nadu in November. The weather bureau predicts more rainfall in days to come. Millions of people have already been displaced and are in urgent need of support.

2 of my cousins have been actively helping the needy, one through the Army by flying helicopters dropping food packets and the other leading a group of people to distribute supplies to all the needy across Chennai, Cuddalore and all the affected towns, cities and villages in Tamil Nadu. I am really proud of them and along with donating and giving my time for relief operation I also thought of doing this fundraiser to send to couple of people who have been doing a great job past 5 days and who I can out my full trust on.

You might have donated already or looking to get started. If already donated, donate 2 more. That is all it takes to make additional impact. All I need is 2 dollars(Little over Rs.100 in Indian Money after the processing fee youcaring.com takes)  from each of you. If each can give a 2 bucks, together it would become a huge amount. It's upto you to give more but I want to start GIVE 2 DOLLARS, SAVE PEOPLES LIFE Campaign to at the the very least not scare people and ask for more.

What's more important now is the rehabilitation of people who have lost their livelihoods. And the need of the hour and for future will be medical help, and long term rehabilitation. The aftermath of the floods will be spreading of contagious diseases, people who can't go back to their destroyed homes and orphanages and old age homes.
